Roof terraces
Def: A roof garden is any garden on the roof of a building.
Roof terraces and gardens represent a specific set of challenges both from a construction perspective and also due to the restrictions placed on plant choices. We enjoy designing this type of garden; the solutions can be very different and impact high.
We created a hollow raised bed structure on this roof terrace to reduce the weight, plants are left in pots which allows them to be moved around as necessary. The clean lines of the Western Red Cedar Decking and Rendered Walls reflect the surrounding buildings and help to create a sense of space.
